Man suffers facial injury in serious assault outside pub

A man has been treated in hospital for a facial injury after a serious assault outside a pub in West Dunbartonshire.

The 37-year-old was assaulted on Main Street in Jamestown in Alexandria at around 6.30pm on Saturday, May 16.

He was taken to the Vale of Leven Hospital, where he received treatment for his injury.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Iain McGill said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

“If you were in the area of Main Street around the time the assault took place and saw what happened please get in touch to assist with our enquiries.”
