A man has been treated in hospital after being attacked by two people at a bus stop in Ayr.
The incident occurred on Prestwick Road around 6.45pm on Thursday, when two men got out of a grey car and assaulted the 34-year-old victim.
He was taken to Ayr Hospital for treatment following the attack.
The two men then made off, driving in the direction of Tam’s Brig.
The first man is described as in his 40s, white, with a stocky build, stubble and balding. He was wearing a red football top and white trainers.
The second man is described as also in his 40s, white, medium build, with short, brown hair. He was wearing a grey T-shirt and grey jogging bottoms.
Detective Constable Gillian Wilson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace these men and I would encourage anyone who saw them or knows them to get in touch.
“This assault happened on a busy road and anyone in the area at the time is asked to get in touch if they can help with our investigation.
“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage or private CCTV that could assist then please make contact with us.”
