A man has pled guilty to being involved in a mass brawl during Rangers title celebrations in Glasgow.

Adam Martin, 29, fought with fellow supporters at Glasgow’s Argyle Street on May 15 this year.

Rangers fans gathered in their thousands in the city centre to celebrate the club’s Scottish Premiership trophy day.

Prosecutor Emma Baker told Glasgow Sheriff Court: “Martin was part of a large-scale disturbance after the Rangers title celebrations took place.

“Police were alerted to a large-scale fight that broke out at Argyle Street railway station.

“Officers intervened and Martin was part of the fight and the police moved in and broke it up.

“Martin was then arrested.”

Martin pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to conducting himself in a disorderly manner and committed breach of the peace.

Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports by Sheriff Barry Divers.

Martin, of Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, was remanded in custody meantime.
