A man will stand trial next year charged with raping a woman on a cruise ship.
Ngakan Putra is said to have carried out the alleged sex attack on the Mein Schiff boat on June 11 2025.
The ship was sailing between Belfast and Greenock, Inverclyde at the time.
Prosecutors claim the 29-year-old entered the woman’s cabin uninvited.
The indictment further includes allegations that Putra took the woman’s mobile phone, kissed and touched her, and grabbed her hand.
It is also said he removed the woman’s clothes before raping her.
A hearing took place at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday.
Putra’s legal team pled not guilty on his behalf.
A trial was fixed and it is set to start in June 2027 in Paisley.
