A man has been arrested following the death of a woman in Airdrie.
Police have confirmed a 51-year-old woman named Stacey Warnock was found dead at a property in Barra Drive in the town.
A 52-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
He is due to appear before Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, December 26.
Detective Inspector Campbell Jackson said: “Our thoughts are with Stacey’s family and friends and they are being provided with support by specialist officers.
“We believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community.
“There may be a police presence in the area as our investigation continues and I would like to thank the local community for their assistance with our enquiries.”
