A man is to appear in court after cocaine worth more than £1.6m was found during a raid in North Lanarkshire.
Police Scotland confirmed officers executed a warrant at a property on Gartmill Crescent in Moodiesburn on Tuesday, where cocaine with an estimated street value of £1.68m was recovered.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection and was due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Detective Sergeant Lee Graham said: “This recovery highlights our commitment to tackling dangerous and illegal drugs in our local communities.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and we are determined to protect the public by preventing their distribution.
“Information from the public is vital and we would urge anyone with concerns to contact us. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
