Police are hunting a man who threatened a shopkeeper with a knife during a robbery in Glasgow’s southside.

The perpetrator entered Peter’s Store on Pollok’s Househillwood Road on Monday evening and threatened the 22-year-old worker before making off with a three-figure sum of cash.

The incident happened around 6.45pm and the suspected is described as white, in his mid-to-late 40s, with a black hooded jacket, dark coloured jeans and black trainers. He also had his face covered.

Constable Paul Friel said: “Although the shopkeeper was not injured as a result of this incident, it was a very frightening experience for him.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area of Househillwood Road shortly before or after incident and may have noticed anyone matching the description to contact police.”
