A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing at a home in Ayr on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to the property on Davidson Place at around 3.30pm following reports of the incident.

A 57-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made in connection. An investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

Detective Constable Stewart Gordon said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to consider if they noticed or saw anything suspicious.

“Any small detail could help us, so please pass it on. I’d also ask anyone with dash cam or doorbell recording equipment to check their footage for any images which could assist our investigation.”

Those with information are urged to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1995 of Saturday, June 13, 2026. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
