Emergency services were called to Cowal Drive in Linwood at around 1.35am on Monday following reports of an assault.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers have arrested and charged a 31-year-old man in connection with the attack.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: Around 1.35am on Monday, September 7, 2026, we received a report of a man assaulted in Cowal Drive, Linwood.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 8 September, 2026.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 1.31am on September 7 to attend an incident on Cowal Drive, Linwood.
“An ambulance and a special operations response team (SORT) were dispatched to the scene. One patient was transported to the Royal Alexandra Hospital.”
