A man has been rushed to hospital after being assaulted in the west end area of Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Dumbarton Road in Patrick at around 4.50pm on Wednesday following reports of an “attack”.

A man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Enquiries remain ongoing at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.50pm on Wednesday, April 24, we received a report that a man had been assaulted on Dumbarton Road, Glasgow.

“He was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
