A man has been taken to hospital after falling into a canal in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the Forth and Clyde canal near Rotherwood Avenue in the city’s Knightswood area at around 10.30pm on Sunday.

The casualty was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

His current condition is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30pm on Sunday, November 3, 2024, police received a report of a man falling into the canal in the Rotherwood Avenue area of Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the man was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.”
