A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a bus in Kilmarnock.

Emergency services closed down John Finnie Street after a crash at around 5.05pm on Saturday.

A 28-year-old man was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.

His current condition is unknown at this time.

Police Scotland confirmed the road reopened on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson said: “John Finnie Street in Kilmarnock has reopened following a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian around 5.05pm on Saturday, 1 February.

“The pedestrian, a 28-year-old man, was taken to Crosshouse Hospital. Motorists are thanked for their patience.”
