A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a gang in Glasgow.

The 25-year-old was standing at a bus stop on Garscube Road when he was approached by four men at around 8.25pm on Easter Sunday.

He suffered several injuries after the group seriously assaulted him near the Subway station.  

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene and he was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Detective constable Jenna Baillie said: “This is a busy area and we know that there were people who witnessed this attack who have not yet come forward to police. 

“I would urge then to contact officers as they may hold information that is vital to our investigation.”

Any information should be passed to 101 with reference number 3295 of April 17.
