Emergency services were called to St Enoch Square, near Adam’s Court Lane, at around 3.50pm on Monday following reports of an assault.
A man was found injured and was subsequently taken to hospital.
Enquires remain ongoing at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.50pm on Monday, March 18, 2024, police were called to St Enoch Square near Adam’s Court Lane, following a report of an assault and attempted robbery.
“A man was found injured and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.”
