Man punched and kicked in head during fight at bus station taxi rank

The incident occurred on Thursday around 12.03am at the rank at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.

A man was taken to hospital after he was punched and kicked in the head at a taxi rank during a fight. 

The incident occurred on Thursday around 12.03am at the rank at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow. 

A fight broke out among a group of men standing at the rank, which led to one of the men being knocked to the ground and seriously assaulted. 

The 42-year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal infirmary for treatment following the attack. 

Police said the taxi rank was busy at the time of the attack, as it occurred shortly after the Europa League final.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was at the taxi rank, who may have seen the incident to contact them.

Anyone with information should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0132 of May 19.
