A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit with a bottle at a Glasgow pub.

The 32-year-old victim was taken to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and later released following treatment.

A 22-year-old man was also assaulted during the incident at Quarter Gill at around 11.10pm on Saturday.

The attack began within the premises, but then spilled out onto Dumbarton Road.

The two men responsible are around 6ft tall, in their late 40s and bald.

They were last seen making off along Hyndland Street.

Detective constable Craig Martin is appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

He said: “If you were in the Quarter Gill or in the Dumbarton Road area at the time and witnessed the assaults I would urge you to contact me."
