Google MapsA man who was spotted running away from the scene of a vehicle on fire in Lanarkshire is being sought by police.
Officers received a report of a vehicle ablaze in Southfield Crescent, Coatbridge, at around 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Their investigation so far has established that a man was seen running from the scene just after the fire was set.
The suspect is around 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and wearing dark coloured clothing, and is believed to have headed off in the direction of Sikeside Street
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are continuing to check CCTV footage for any additional information on the incident.
“If anyone has any information, please call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3106 of January 31.
“Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give information anonymously.”
