Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was spotted fleeing a car which crashed into a shopfront in Ayrshire.
Officers were called to reports of a black Audi TT crashing into a Spar shop on Kilmarnock Road, Crosshouse at around 1.25am on Monday.
A man was seen fleeing from the car in the Springside area shortly after the crash.
The force is now appealing for local residents with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward, as it could assist with their investigation.
Aileen McHargDetective sergeant Sarah Holland, from Kilmarnock CID, said: “Our enquiries into the full circumstances of this incident are in their early stages and any information could prove vital.
“There will be extra patrols in the area, as officers investigate the incident and engage with the local community.
“If you believe you can assist us, please call 101, quoting incident 0180 of August 29.”
