A man has been arrested in connection with being over seven times the drink drive limit after Argyll and Bute police stopped a car for “poor driving”.
Road police on the B842 at Stewarton, near Campbeltown, noticed a motorist driving poorly on Sunday night.
The legal drink-drive limit in Scotland is 22 micrograms in 100ml of breath and the 51-year-old man arrested allegedly tested over seven times the limit.
The man is expected to appear at Campbeltown Sheriff Court.
A force spokesperson said : “A 51-year-old man was arrested in connection with drink driving after officers stopped at car on the B842 at Stewarton near Campbeltown. He is expected to appear at Campbeltown Sheriff Court at a later date.”
