A man has been struck by a car during an attempted murder in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old is suffering serious injuries after being hit at speed by a grey estate vehicle on Hartstone Road, Priesthill, at 1.55pm on Thursday. 

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition. 

Officers are now appealing for information in a bid to track the driver of the car.

Detective sergeant Steven Slater said: “This was reckless and dangerous behaviour which will not be tolerated in our community. 

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are working to establish the circumstances leading up to this incident. 

“There would have been a number of people in the area around the time and we are keen to talk to anyone who may have seen anything. 

“We are also keen to chat to anyone that may have dashcam footage of the incident.”
