A man has been rushed to hospital after a crash between four vehicles on the M8.

Drivers are currently facing delays of almost an hour as emergency services attend to the scene near the Braehead junction.

The incident occurred around 7.10am on Tuesday morning on the eastbound carriageway.

Officers remain at the scene where investigations are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to a crash involving four vehicles on the M8 eastbound near the Braehead junction around 7.10am on Tuesday, May 2.

“Emergency services attended and a man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
