One person has been rescued from the water and a second remains missing following an incident in the River Kelvin in Glasgow.
Emergency services raced to the scene in the West End of the city on Wednesday evening following reports of two people in the water.
A number of appliances and ambulances were seen on Gibson Street and Eldon Street along with a rescue dinghy, while police sealed off Argyle Street to the public.
Police confirmed searches for the second person were continuing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.45pm on Wednesday, October 11, we received report of concern for two people in the water at the River Kelvin, near to Eldon Street, Glasgow.
“A man has been rescued by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and is receiving treatment.
“Emergency services are in attendance and searches for the second person remain ongoing.”
