A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle on Monday.
Emergency services were called to Windmillhill Street in Motherwell after reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at around 7.10pm.
A 51-year-old man was transported to hospital for treatment following the incident, where he remains in a serious condition.
Police closed the road for 11 hours while enquiries were carried out. The street was reopened on Tuesday at around 6.20am.
An investigation to establish the circumstances around the collision is ongoing.
