A man was taken to hospital after a serious assault on a street in Clydebank.
Emergency services were called to Montrose Street around 1am on Sunday after a 25-year-old was attacked by a man, thought to be around 30 years old.
The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries.
Officers are seeking to speak to a woman who assisted the injured man at the scene.
Detective constable Lee Cassidy at Clydebank CID said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this assault and in particular a woman who assisted the injured man at the scene.”
