Tributes have been paid to a man who died in a crash involving a motorbike and a lorry in South Ayrshire, days after celebrating his wedding anniversary.
Shantanu Kaur died at the scene of the collision on the B730 near its junction with the A719 at Fail to Tarbolton around 9am on Friday, June 26.
The 35-year-old was riding a red Zontes ZT125 motorcycle when it was involved in the crash with a black DAF lorry. Mr Kaur died at the scene.
Bluebird Care Lanarkshire is fundraising for his wife, Rajvir, who is a care assistant. More than £1,000 has already been raised.
Mr Kaur worked as a chef at an Indian restaurant in Ayr and was travelling to work when the collision happened.
The couple married three years ago and celebrated their wedding anniversary with family and friends only the weekend before.
It is understood he has no other relatives in the UK, with his family living in India.
Police Scotland sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this crash are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened to please contact us.
“In addition, anyone with dash-cam footage which may have captured anything relevant is asked to come forward.”
