A man serving a lengthy sentence for his role in a £200m supergang has been caught with a phone in prison for a second time.
Martyn Fitzsimmons, 45, was caught with the device at HMP Low Moss on September 6 last year.
He was caught with a black Nokia device in the same prison in December 2023, when his prison sentence was extended by 150 days.
Fitzsimmons was first jailed in January 2018 for over ten years for his part in the drugs gang stated to be the “most sophisticated” the police have encountered.
The former soldier was arrested with a Glock handgun, ammo and £36,000 of dirty cash.
The gang he was part of was responsible for high-level drug dealing, abduction and torture.
Fitzsimmons was previously given a 12-year sentence in 2008 in England for procuring explosives, weapons and ammunition.
Fitzsimmons pleaded guilty to his latest charge of having a personal communication device in prison.
He was handed a two-month sentence, which will run from Thursday, alongside his current jail term, which is due to end in 2031.
