A killer has been jailed for life for the “shocking and violent” murder of a man in Ayrshire.
Jordan Honeyman was found guilty of the murder of Alan Lawson on Thursday following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
He was sentenced to a minimum of 25 years in prison.
Mr Lawson, 30, was subjected to a brutal attack at a property in Largs, Ayrshire, between February 2 and 4, 2024.
The court previously heard the 36-year-old was repeatedly punched, kicked and struck with “a sharp instrument”.
Honeyman then jumped from a staircase onto Mr Lawson’s head and body.
Mr Lawson’s feet were said to have been scalded, and he was stripped of his clothes.
Honeyman applied glue to Mr Lawson’s injuries, forced him into a shower and then failed to get medical help.

On Thursday, the jury returned a unanimous verdict after four hours of deliberations.
Following the guilty verdict, the court heard Honeyman was jailed for 32 months in 2022 for attacking Mr Lawson with a baseball bat.
He has three previous convictions for violence involving weapons.
Honeyman could be heard shouting as he was led away from the court.
Following Honeyman’s conviction, detective chief inspector Ally Semple said: “This was a shocking and violent attack which has been devastating for the family and friends of Alan Lawson.
“Honeyman will now face the consequences of his actions.
“While no outcome can truly ease the pain of losing Alan, we hope this conviction and sentencing will bring some comfort to his loved ones.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their support and assistance at the time of our enquiries.
“Violent incidents such as this are not tolerated in our communities, and our officers will continue to work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.”
