Police are appealing for witnesses after a “vicious and unprovoked” attack at a pub in Bellshill.
A 42-year-old man was outside Franklyns Bar on Hamilton Road around 9.40pm on April 7 when he was assaulted.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone who was in the area and might have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Detective constable Mark McNab, Lanarkshire CID, said: “This was a particularly vicious and unprovoked attack which has left the victim hospitalised. Our enquiries are ongoing, and I would ask anybody who was present in the area at the time who may have witnessed the attack to come forward.”
“Similarly, any local resident with private CCTV or doorbell footage and drivers with dash-cam should also get in touch as you may have captured something significant.”
