A man is in serious condition in hospital after being hit by a lorry in Cumbernauld.
The incident took place in the Main Road area of Condorrat on Friday, May 20, at around 12.10pm.
A 58-year-old pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after being struck by a bin lorry.
His condition has been described as serious, but not life threatening.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.10pm on Friday, police were called to the Main Road area of Condorrat, Cumbernauld, following a report of a road crash involving a bin lorry and a 58-year-old man.
“The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and his injuries are believed to be serious, but not life-threatening.
“The Health and Safety Executive has been made aware and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
