A man is in hospital fighting for his life after an attempted murder in Glasgow’s east end.
A 31-year-old man was found seriously injured shortly after midnight on Thursday, July 21 on the city’s Springfield Road after being stabbed with an unknown object.
Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.
His injuries were described as “life threatening”.
Police have confirmed that the incident is being treated as an attempted murder.
The suspects are believed to be two men, described as wearing dark clothing, who were last seen heading towards London Road.
Officers are currently checking relevant CCTV for any information which could assist and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Constable Jordan Willows, of Shettleston CID said: “A man has been seriously injured as a result of this incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time to get in touch with us.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident or anyone in the area around the time and saw anything to contact us. Additionally I would appeal to anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV to review and get in touch if they believe it may assist.”
