Man in hospital and woman arrested after serious assault at house in Glasgow

A man has been taken to hospital and a woman has been arrested following a serious assault in Glasgow.

The 30-year-old was found injured at a property on Ballater Street at around 1.45am on Friday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested a short time later in connection with the incident.

Initial enquiries link the incident to an earlier disturbance that occurred around 8pm in the Ballater Street area.

Detective Inspector Bruce Fyfe said: “We are continuing to carry out a number of enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

“I would ask any witnesses who haven’t already spoken to police to please get in touch. In addition, anyone with any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage is asked to come forward.”
