A man is in hospital after a crash involving two vehicles on an M8 slip road in Glasgow.
Police, paramedics and fire crews responded to the collision on the M8 eastbound at junction 22 near Kinning Park around 9.30am on Monday.
A man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the incident and investigations remain ongoing.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it sent three appliances to the scene.
A Police Scotland statement read: “Around 9.30am on Monday, October 14, 2024, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on the M8 eastbound at junction 22, Kinning Park, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and one man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.32am on Monday, October 14 to reports of a collision involving two vehicles on the M8 eastbound at junction 22 near the M74 slip road.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances, and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.
“Two casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service, and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A Scottish Ambulance spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.32am to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision near junction 22 east, M8.
“We dispatched one ambulance and one paramedic response unit (PRU) to the scene.
“We transported one patient to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
