A man has appeared in court charged with culpable and reckless conduct in connection with a flat fire that forced residents to be evacuated from a building in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Clarkston Road in Cathcart after the alarm was raised at around 11.15am on Sunday.
There were no reports of any injuries, however the area was evacuated and the road locked down by police.
Ian Cuthbert, 65, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
Cuthbert, of the city, made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is expected to return to court within eight days.
