A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed on a street in Ayr.
Officers were called to reports of a man being found seriously injured around 10am on June 17 on Braeside Road.
Emergency services attended, and the 39-year-old was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Ryan Young appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday, charged with assault to severe injury, danger of life, and attempted murder in connection with the incident.
The 35-year-old from Ayr made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear again within the next eight days.
