Google MapsA man has appeared in court charged with abduction and attempted murder after a woman was found injured in East Kilbride.
Emergency services were called to a flat in the town around 8.05am on Monday.
A 35-year-old woman was taken to Hairmyres Hospital. Her condition is currently unknown.
A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Kevin Costello, from Glasgow, made no plea during an appearance at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
The 45-year-old was charged with assault to injury as well as abduction, danger of life and attempted murder.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Costello is due to appear again within eight days.
