SNS GroupA man has appeared in court accused of involvement in serious organised crime after being extradited from Dubai.
Stephen Jamieson, 42, was arrested in the Gulf city in September in connection with offences allegedly committed across Scotland in 2020.
He has been charged with four offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, and two under the Criminal Justice and Licensing Act 2010.
He did not submit a plea during a hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.
He is due to appear again within the next eight days.
Earlier, a Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with serious organised crime offences across Scotland during 2020.
“He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today, Friday, December 19.
“We are grateful for the co-operation and support from the National Crime Agency and law enforcement partners in the United Arab Emirates.”
