A man has appeared in court accused of injuring Celtic midfielder Arne Engels with a coin.
Cameron Douglas, 23, allegedly assaulted the Belgian international at Ibrox Stadium on January 2, 2025.
Rangers hosted rivals Celtic in a match that day, which the home side went on to win 3-0.
Court papers state Douglas, of the city’s Springburn, threw a coin at Mr Engels.
It is claimed that the coin struck Mr Engels on the head to his injury.
No plea was made to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
The matter was continued until next month.
