A man has been arrested abroad in connection with the murder of a young dad in a children's play park.

Jamie Lee, 23, was shot during a gang brawl in Castlemilk, Glasgow, in July 2017.

Police said a 25-year-old man had been arrested under a European Arrest Warrant.

Extradition procedures will now begin to bring the man back to Scotland.

Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that a 25-year-old man has been arrested abroad on a European Arrest Warrant in connection with the murder of 23-year-old Jamie Lee in July 2017.

"The man is now subject to extradition procedures."
