Man found seriously injured inside flat as police seal off street

A street in Glasgow’s east end has been sealed off by police after a man was found seriously hurt inside a flat on Sunday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Glenisla Street, Tollcross shortly after 5pm on Sunday.

A man was found with serious injuries. His current condition is unknown.

Police Scotland said enquiries are ongoing, and Glenisla Street has been closed between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 5.05pm on Sunday, June 25, police were called to a flat in Glenisla Street, Tollcross, Glasgow, following a report that a man was seriously injured within.

“Officers and emergency services are at the scene and enquiries are continuing.

“Glenisla Street, between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road have been closed to pedestrians and motorists.

“There are no further details at this time.”
