A man who was found injured after being assaulted in Inverclyde has been taken to hospital.
Police were called to the scene on Greenock’s Lansbury Street at around 2.45pm on Friday, May 31 after a man was found to be injured.
Officers said he was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment.
Enquiries into the incident are said to be ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.45pm on Friday, May 31, 2024, police were called to a report of a man found injured after being assaulted in Lansbury Street, Greenock.
“Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances.”
