Man found dead on street as investigation launched

An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead on a street in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Valleyfield Street at around 4.15pm on Friday after reports of concern for a man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.15pm on Friday, August 28, 2026, officers were called to Valleyfield Street, Glasgow to a report of concern for a man.

“Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
