A man is fighting for his life after being attacked in the street in Glasgow.
The 29-year-old suffered serious injuries in Arnprior Road, Castlemilk, around 5.30pm on Monday.
He is currently being treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where his condition is described as critical, but stable.
Police said they were treating the incident as attempted murder and appealed for witnesses.
Detective sergeant Keith Runcie said: “I am appealing to anyone who was on Arnprior Road or the surrounding streets around this time who may have witnessed the attack, saw somebody running away or saw any suspicious activity to contact the police as a matter of urgency.
“I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time to check back and see if there is anything that could assist us in our investigation.”
Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland by calling 101.
