A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash involving one vehicle in North Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A8011 between junction 4a of the M80 and Back O’Hill Roundabout towards Cumbernauld town centre around 9.05pm on Saturday, August 17.
The male driver of the vehicle was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital were medical staff describe his condition as critical.
The A73 was also closed between junction 5 of the M80 and the Chapelton Roundabout before reopening after midday on Sunday.
A Police Scotland statement read: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3699 of Saturday, August 17, 2024.”
