A man is fighting for his life after falling from the roof of a tenement in Dumbarton on Sunday morning.

At around 9.20am on January 14, police were called to Bonhill Road to a report of a man having fallen from the roof of a property.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff have described his condition as critical.

Roads in the surrounding area were closed and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.20am on Sunday, January 14, 2024, police were called to a report of a man having fallen from a roof of a property in Bonhill Road, Dumbarton.

“Emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as critical.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
