Getty ImagesAn investigation has been launched after a man was seen entering a car with a bladed weapon and fleeing the scene after crashing on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to Teal Crescent in East Kilbride at around 1.15pm following reports of a male wielding a weapon.
The vehicle he entered later collided with another car on the street. He fled the scene along with the other occupants.
No one was injured during the incident. An investigation is still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.15pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025, we received a report of a man seen with what appeared to be a bladed weapon, getting into a car on Teal Crescent, East Kilbride.
“His vehicle was involved in a crash with another car on Teal Crescent.
“He made off along with the other occupants of the car.
“No one was injured.”
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
