A man has died after being found with serious injuries inside a Glasgow flat.

Emergency crews were called to reports of a seriously hurt man at a property on Glenisla Street, Tollcross shortly after 5pm on Sunday.

A 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been named locally as Stuart Williams.

Police said a post mortem will be carried out to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

Mr Williams’ death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 5.05pm on Sunday, June 25, officers were called to a report of a man seriously injured within a flat in Glenisla Street, Tollcross, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A post mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.

“Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are at an early stage.”
