A man has died in hospital after two people were struck by a car in Paisley.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on Hawkhead Road at around 8.10am on Wednesday, September 18.
Two men, aged 40 and 50, were struck by a car and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with “serious injuries”.
The driver of the car was uninjured and the road was closed for around eight hours while enquiries were carried out.
Police confirmed that the 50-year-old man died in hospital on Sunday.
Road Policing officers are continuing to appeal for information and are asking the public for assistance.
Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “At this time, our thoughts are with the family of the deceased, along with everyone else affected by this incident.
“Our investigation into the circumstances remain ongoing and we ask anyone who has any information, including dash-cam footage at the time of the incident, to contact police.
“Anyone with any information who has not spoken to officers should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0695 of Wednesday, September 18, 2024.”
