A man has died after getting into difficulty in water at a loch in East Ayrshire.
Emergency services were called to Loch Doon, Dalmellington, at around 1.15pm on Sunday after receiving reports of two men in difficulty in water.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man did not require medical treatment after getting checked over by paramedics.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received reports of two men in difficulty in the water at Loch Doon, Dalmellington, around 1.15pm on Sunday, March 27.
“One man died at the scene. The other man was checked over by paramedics but did not require further medical treatment.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.”
