A man has died after a crash involving two cars and a bus in North Lanarkshire.
Officers were alerted to the crash that happened on Stirling Street in Airdrie Town Centre on Friday around 3.25pm.
Police confirmed that a car collided with a bus and two other cars in the incident.
Emergency services attended the scene and the 58-year-old male driver of the car was taken to hospital.
The man was pronounced dead a short time later, and his family has been informed.
Nobody else was injured during the incident and the road has since reopened.
The force is urging anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Nick Twigg from Road Policing said: “We are appealing for any potential witnesses who are still to speak to officers to please get in touch.
“We would also urge anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage to pass this on to us by call 101 and quoting incident number 2154 of Friday, October 11, 2024.”
