A man has died after being struck by a car on Valentine’s Day in North Ayrshire.
Emergency services were called to Ardeer Road, Stevenston, at around 7.20pm on Tuesday after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a blue Audi Q2.
A 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have now launched an appeal for any witnesses or motorists with information into the collision to come forward.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor, of Irvine Road Policing, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us.
“I would ask any motorists, particularly with dash cams who were in and around that area to check the footage as it may have captured images that could assist in our investigation.”
